Brief

For my AS Media coursework I will create a music magazine's front cover, its contents page and two double page spreads. In preparation for this I will complete a preliminary task, where I will create the front cover and contents page for a college magazine called "Zine".

For both tasks I will use photo shop and take my own photos on my digital camera. I've decided that my magazine will be of rock genre as I feel confident in this genre because I regularly read rock magazines and believe this will help my understanding of its conventions, how its targets its audience, how it represents youth and the music industry and how it uses media language to gain its audience and keep them interested.

I Will research different magazines and look at their publishers aims to see how they target their audience and my preliminary task will improve my final magazine cover because I will of learnt techniques and what not to do/ what conventions to use in my preliminary task. After my final magazine cover, contents page and two double page spreads have been completed I will evaluate my work to show the meaning and understanding behind it  

and how I have targeted my audience.
